 💡 FACT OF THE WEEK

We regularly hear questions about MFA and how effective it is at preventing breaches.

These startling statistics highlight how crucial and effective MFA is:

This means that, out of 300 million attacks, only 30,000 are likely to bypass MFA — of course, other security features can work in tandem with MFA to bring this number even lower.

In short, you need to be using MFA!

 📝 HUNT GROUP TYPES

Most companies use the same type of hunt group: simultaneous.

A simultaneous hunt group calls all users within the hunt group at the same time, so anyone within that group can pick up the call.

However, did you know there are 5 types of hunt group available?

  1. Circular: Routes incoming calls to users in a set order, and after one call is answered, the next call goes to the next person in line, circling back to the top after each cycle.

  2. Regular: Directs the incoming call to the next available user in sequence, resetting to the first user in the group after the last one has taken a call.

  3. Simultaneous: Sends incoming calls to all users at the same time and releases all but the one who answers, ensuring the quickest response time.

  4. Uniform: Allocates calls to the user who has been idle the longest, thereby distributing call load evenly based on user availability.

  5. Weighted: Distributes incoming calls to users based on a predefined percentage, allowing for prioritization of calls among the group based on skill or other criteria.

There are clear use cases for each type of hunt group. Are you using the right hunt groups for your company?
